Terms of service

By placing an order you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose; read them.

1. Who we are

eSIM — The Crypto Department is an independent reseller of prepaid data-only eSIM plans supplied by third-party connectivity providers and delivered over the networks of local mobile operators. We are not a mobile operator and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any operator. Operator names appear only to describe where a plan works.

2. What you buy

• A single-use eSIM profile with a prepaid data allowance for the destinations, data amount, speed and validity shown on the plan at checkout.
• Plans are data only. No voice, no SMS, no phone number unless explicitly stated.
• Validity is as labelled: from first use (starts when the eSIM first connects at the destination; install within 6 months of purchase), from purchase, or fixed dates you chose.
• “Unlimited” plans include a daily full-speed allowance after which speed is reduced until the next day.
• Actual speed and coverage depend on the local operator, your device, and your location. We do not guarantee a particular speed.

3. Your responsibilities

• Your device must be eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked. You confirm this at checkout.
• You must provide a working email address; it is how we deliver your eSIM and the only contact detail we hold.
• Keep your eSIM page, QR code and activation details private. Anyone with them can install the profile and consume your data.
• Use the service lawfully and in line with the local operator’s fair-use rules. Tethering may be restricted on some plans.
• Do not resell profiles or use automation to buy at volume without agreement from us.

4. Price and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars and fixed for your order when you create it.
• You pay in Bitcoin or Monero. The crypto amount is fixed when the invoice is created and valid until the invoice expires.
• Send one payment for the exact amount. Under- and overpayments are handled per the refund policy.
• We issue an eSIM only after your payment has the required confirmations. Unpaid orders expire automatically.
• Prices include any applicable taxes we are required to collect, unless stated otherwise at checkout.

5. Delivery

Delivery is complete when your activation details (QR code and manual codes) are displayed on your order page and emailed to you. Delivery is normally within minutes of payment confirmation; occasionally the operator is slower, and we will email you when the eSIM is ready. If we cannot provision at all, see the refund policy.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Governed by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: our fault → full refund or replacement; delivered and working → no refund, except where law requires. You consent to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge any statutory withdrawal right ends on delivery.

7. Service limits and suspension

• We may suspend or revoke an eSIM used for fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or in breach of operator terms, without refund.
• We may pause sales or decline orders at our discretion, including by destination or payment pattern. Orders we decline are refunded in full.
• Operators may change network partners, speeds or fair-use rules. Where this materially affects an undelivered plan, you may cancel for a full refund.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses, missed connections, roaming charges on your home SIM, or loss of data on your device. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
